"An uninterpreted dream is like an unopened letter"

Rav Hisda

About

If there was an attempt during the 20th century to unlock the secrets of dreams, today the world has retained nothing from it. For a long time, dreams have intrigued me and their study, in man and in cultures, is today my passion. But it was only after a series of traumatic events that I launched myself into discovering my dreams, searching for everything that exists on the subject. Among religions we find mystical experiences, visions, but little about dreams themselves. Some rabbis have been interested in understanding the important appearance of dreams in the Bible, but not enough to understand our own dreams. Freud took the first step on the moon, one might say, then both Adler and Frankl found other ways to interpret them. Finally, the one who took them seriously to the end and entirely founded his theories around them is the psychologist Jung. His ideas can therefore be experienced through dreams, the images that appear in them, and the changes they provoke in us according to the wisdom they deliver.

I grew up in France, in Paris; at the age of eighteen, after studies at the Lycée Louis-Le-Grand, I moved to Israel. I then completed my bachelor's degree in computer science at the Technion. I currently work as a full-stack developer. In parallel, I play the violin, I devoted 5 years to yeshiva, through the study of ancient texts of Judaism. I have also devoted my energies to philosophy, sciences, religions, mythology, and particularly to psychology, its development, and especially to Jung and his students such as Erich Neumann and Marie-Louise Von Franz.

Beyond texts, I underwent several years of Freudian and existentialist-oriented therapy and met a Jungian master, himself a disciple of a student of Marie-Louise Von Franz, who taught me for years the interpretation of dreams according to Jung on thousands of dreams. My goal is to share my experience in the field of dreams, to make it available to the public, through conferences or anonymous dreamers, the group I created.

Jung et la fin des temps - Book cover

Jung and the End of Times

Nathan Ezra Rodrigue

If themes such as the Apocalypse, the quest for the Grail, witchcraft, magicians, the cosmic serpent, the Holy Spirit, the Third Temple, or demons appear in this work, it is because they have presented themselves in the dreams of our contemporaries, and not in books.

Extending Jung's intuition that myth "expresses life more accurately than science," this book explores the hypothesis that a modern myth of the end of times is being born in the collective unconscious.

Divided into three parts: "Conscious and Unconscious," "Old and New Testaments," and "Modern Myth of the Apocalypse," the work connects Jungian psychology, sacred texts, dream experiences, and living symbols of the 21st century.

It seeks to understand what Jung called "the end of an eon," that is, the end of an era in human history.

Both an introduction to the essential notions of Jungian psychology (shadow, anima, animus, Self, archetypes, symbols) and an exploration of contemporary dreams, this book continues Jung's work on myths by revealing the psychic form that the modern Apocalypse might take.

Les puissances de l'inconscient — French edition cover

The Powers of the Unconscious

Nathan Ezra Rodrigue

In this testimony, the author explores the depths of his soul through a series of harrowing spiritual and psychic experiences. From his brother's death to his meditations, from strange encounters to apocalyptic visions, he describes an invisible world where luminous and dark forces shape the fate of modern humankind. Each chapter blends lived stories, dreams, and inner reflections on themes such as mourning, the end times, evil, contemplation, the Hebrew Bible, the disappearance of Laozi, or the quest for an inner dwelling place.

The book is divided into four parts. A Moustache and the Goddess recounts the author's gradual opening to a spiritual world through meditative experiences and an encounter with a mysterious divine figure. Like a Dove addresses the death of the author's younger brother and the psychological upheaval that followed—among dreams, visions, and confrontation with invisible forces. The Hidden Manna explores madness, the search for an inner place, and strange phenomena experienced during a meeting with a kabbalist. Finally, The Wisdom of the Mosquito deals with the inverted order of the modern world.

But above all, this book offers an approach to dream interpretation: it restores dream experiences to their real and biographical context, showing the coherence of their meanings.

Emmanuel — French edition cover

Emmanuel

Nathan Ezra Rodrigue

Hell is not beneath the earth, God is not in the sky. Both are present in our lives to the extent that we give them room. But one has prevailed in shaping our societies, making us believe it was the other.

My brother Emmanuel understood this, and it killed him. He did not have the words to describe the dimensions of hell or the stages by which the Self disappeared from our lives.

This book therefore sets out to describe as meticulously as possible the greatest number of these dimensions — whether it is school, technology, the world of high-tech, religion, academia, alcohol, anger, sexuality, or encounters with spirits.

It is about understanding how hell came to take the place of heaven, and how human beings came to forget what, within them, was nonetheless meant to guide them.

Available in French and Hebrew.
